One of the main trends for 2021 points to the importance of strategic and multi-sector alliances, something that is at the heart of VIRATEC. Offering better solutions, services, innovating… is all about getting to know each other, cooperating and creating ecosystems. On Friday 7th May VIRATEC organised a workshop specifically to get to know each other better and thus increase the possibilities of cooperation for the benefit of the circular economy, as well as to continue the preparation of the VIRATEC Strategic Plan through listening and participation.

VIRATEC partners will meet to listen, share and move towards a more sustainable future in which Galicia has a lot to contribute. Many ideas, projects and knowledge were presented, including the desire to “position the Cluster as a proactive channel for value chain initiatives before the administrations” in the words of Alberto Sánchez Sánchez from Cetaqua – Water Technology Centre.

Pedro Tasende, from Aporta Comunicación also shared the need to “have a clear and inclusive discourse with a local, regional, national and international focus”. For Miguel Rodríguez from the University of Vigo, one of the objectives is “the creation (in the medium term) of an environmental and circular economy Living-Lab, focused on the detection, evaluation and integration of high impact projects”. Almudena Justo Martínez from FEUGA (Fundación Universidad Empresa Gallega) also expressed her vision that the “Cluster will serve to present the capacities and technologies of Galician companies in environmental and circular economy matters”.
